This book is my life story, and the aim with this book is to tell my story and inspire others to make the necessary changes in their lives, live their lives to the fullest, and accept themselves for the beautiful, strong, and powerful people they are.
I encourage and urge everyone to speak up, share their stories, and inspire and uplift others.
I had to go through the things I went through in my life so that I could share these events, how I overcame them, and the lessons I learned with someone out there - with you!
In doing so, I can change the lives of others to inspire them to rise above any adversity they face. If I can make a difference in just one person’s life, I will feel I have accomplished my life’s purpose.A lot of the negative things that I went through are not uncommon: sexual abuse, mental abuse, neglect, finding it challenging to trust people, relationship difficulties, self-doubt, insecurities, and mental health issues are all genuine challenges that millions of people all over the world are suffering from or are going through daily.
This book is not only my story but the story of millions of men, women, and children worldwide. And although my stories are unique to me - millions of people can relate.
If what I want to share with you while you are going through something similar makes a difference in your life, then I will have achieved what I have set out to do in this book. If what I did to overcome my set of adversities can help you, then I will feel that what I went through had some purpose and was not in vain, that my stories inspired someone out there to realise that they are not alone in this world and that they can too overcome anything in their life!
We all have life stories to tell - good, bad, happy, and sad - but we all have a story. If we are brave enough to tell our stories, maybe we can change someone else’s story for the better. Or we can become the source of inspiration for someone else.
